Who are we?

Who are we?

There are Quaker meetings all over Britain where people come together and find a sense of community and belonging.  Quaker meetings offer a place of welcome and encounter where we can seek insight, inspiration and guidance, both in our own lives and in our life together.

We are a group of ordinary people whose official name is (The Religious Society of Friends) who feel that we belong together and share beliefs based on a common Christian heritage.  We are made up of members and attenders.

There are about 450 Quaker Meetings and about 20.000 members in Great Britain.

Membership is open to those who share our outlook and who, in worshipping with us, find themselves at home with us.

Attenders You do not have to be a member to come to a Quaker Meeting.  Anyone is welcome to attend meetings and can take an active part in the life of the meeting
